Recently a good friend of mine became a mommy for the first time, she had beautiful twin girls. Last Sunday we attended the blessings of these babies, and as we pulled into the church parking lot I noticed that my friend Melissa and her husband had purchased a new car, an SUV to accommodate their growing family. When I complimented her new ride she said "now I'm a grown up", she also said that it wasn't the babies that made her feel like an adult, but the purchase of the family car. This conversation reminded me of the day I realized that I had become an adult, and like her, it wasn't the day I had my first child or bought my first house. It was the day I bought a wonderful little kitchen machine called the Magic Bullet Blender ( http://www.buythebullet.com/ ). I'd been seeing the infomercial and coveting it for quite a while so I was ecstatic when I finally made the purchase. I was more excited about this than I would've been about a new outfit...
