Ayres Insanity

  Last night was Russ' night off so he got to sleep a normal night at home with me, since he works the graveyard shift we're always grateful for this, as it doesn't happen often. We put the kids to bed, watched a little TV and went to sleep... alone, but that's not how we woke up. We woke up surrounded.   A king size bed in theory, should be large enough for anyone, but I'm pretty sure there is not a bed out there large enough to comfortably accommodate two adults, three kids, a dog and a cat.   It's not my favorite way to wake up but I'll try to enjoy it because I'm sure that someday I'll miss it.

  Ever heard the saying "mean people suck"? Well, I concur.   Tonight we were out running errands, and while checking out at one store the boys were being a bit rowdy, not bad, just rowdy. So just as I was finishing up with the lady at the counter I turn around and see an old lady asking Taevin if he is an orphan, he says no and she says ever so sarcastically, "you mean you have parents, and they let you run around like this? THE NERVE! I stood there a little stunned and for a moment had an inner battle between the devil on my left shoulder urging me to give into my mother bear instinct and go off on the ornery old hag (which I've actually done before), and the angel on my right shoulder whispering "blow it off, don't stoop to her level".
